Choosing the best time…

September 14, 2020 Ken Frankis

There’s no time like the present
The best time will be…
That would have been the best time…
There’s no good time for this
All in good time

Mmmm. So how do we make a decision about the timing of things?

Having worked in Sales, Business Coaching and Tennis Coaching, I have come to appreciate the importance of time and timing.
I can picture the salesman panicking over the right time to ask for the business, the closing question.
The tennis student with furrowed brow and a million thoughts on technique whirring in her head, but not timing her forehand at all well.
So, any good advice on timing?

For me, experience suggests that the right time is:

When it FEELS right…

Sorry it’s not more profound but simply feeling stuff is the only true indicator of when to do something. This doesn’t mean you can’t fail at whatever it is you’re doing. That’s another discussion.
Neither does this mean you don’t do your thinking, research and due diligence. Of course we go through the cognitive stages (some more than others) but feeling, our core driver, is the way to go.

Yep, it’s not profound but is it easy? How do we develop our feel for things?

I’m more than happy to have a chat with you about that. You can reach me at [email protected]

When should you contact me? I’ll leave that up to you…
